Respect for social responsibility.

10 years have already gone by since our first social responsibility initiative, as it was in 2002 when we first began supporting Unicef projects in Africa. Since then, thanks to the help of our clients, we have collected and handed over a record amount of over 120,000 Euros. Since then we have initiated and committed to a series of activities that have provided us immense satisfaction.
There is still a great deal to be done, but our optimism makes us look to the future with a smile on our face. As far as the present
is concerned, we are rolling up our sleeves.

Medical support

We support AIRC, the Italian Association for Cancer Research, and the ABO Foundation, because medical research will improve our children’s lives.

Young student

We joined the Confindustria project for secondary schools, PMI Day, which aims to bring together enterprising youngsters and companies willing to invest in them.

University

We finance a research doctorate at the Department of Food Science of the University of Bologna in order to improve the products of the confectionary industry from a nutritional
point of view. This research, which began in 2010, has highlighted the antioxidant and protective properties of molasses, which allow people with dietary problems to eat gelato. The research will continue in this direction in the forthcoming years.

Food Parcels

Every month we distribute Food Parcels to our employees to thank them for the work carried out. For us it’s another sign of respect.

Families in need

We help those in need, starting from those closest to us, such as the needy families of the municipalities of Morciano and San Clemente and the children of the Segno di Montefiore
association.

San Patrignano community

We have collaborated for years with the S.Patrignano community (RN), organising our yearly company meetings with them. Our meetings require an investment that we  enthusiastically undertake, because we think it is fundamental to support those that have always fought against addiction.

Young designers

We have provided an opportunity to young designers of the Fellini Art Institute of Riccione, with a competition for the development of new creative ideas. The effort and professionalism that the classes put into their work was impressive.

Dokita

For the last 3 years we have supported DOKITA, an international voluntary association, and its “Adopt a gelato maker” project, to teach gelato making
to people in difficulty. We support the activity by providing free products and training to the individuals through our specialised technical personnel.

Sport

We sponsor the Italian/Indian champion Shiva Keshavan. An atypical Olympic athlete, he has completely financed himself for over fifteen years, even building his own luge. He won the gold medal at the 2011 Asia Cup in Nagano (Japan), and is the perfect testimonial for the true meaning of sport and the high values that it carries. This is why we are happy to help him take part in his fifth Olympic Games: Sochi 2014.

Scholarships

We also believe in the importance of cultivating and sustaining young minds. For several years now we have been working together with the Industrial Design Department of the Milan Polytechnic.
And in an initiative organised with the Municipality of Morciano (Rimini) we have granted a number of scholarships to outstanding university students.
