It is also confirmed for the year 2010 the collaboration of Mec3 company with Poli.Design - Consorzio del Politecnico di Milano.This year Mec3 also supports high academic training as a sponsor of this post-graduate course "Food Experience Design - Gelato making, Bakery and Confectionery - 5th Edition".
The course, now in its fifth edition, held from September 29 to October 28, 2010 and fits in the large courses portfolio by Poli.Design and focused on "Design Experience" from 'entertaiment to public spaces, retail, hospitality, outdoor and temporary shop design.
Course in Food experiece Design focuses on designing space for Gelato making, Bakery and Confectionery.
Course in Food Experience Design counts on Mec3 as an active educational partner since Mec3 will make business presentation and interaction with the participants to exchange ideas on design projects.

Has been presented the five final Project Work of the Postgraduate Course in Design for Food Retail.These Project will be shown in occasion of the SIGEP Trade Fair in Rimini, 27th -29th January 2010.

After 216 hours of lessons and educational tours, the 4th edition of the Post Graduated Course in “Food Experience Design – Pastry, Bakery and Gelato-shop” has concluded with the presentation of the 5 Project Works developed inside a glamour and prestige location.The 35 designers, chosen from Italy and from abroad, divided into 5 different working teams, has rendered the actual trends and their change tendencies, in order to create 5 innovative projects of retail points.
“Rosso Glaciale” is an innovative Pastry - Shop / Gelato – Shop which proposes hot and cold foods in a unusual way, with specialized chefs. They use Mec3 products, inside a retail point characterized by the merging of hot and cold atmosphere.
“Lafrù” is a new concept of gastronomic market, where fruit and vegetables are on sale or served on very elaborated dishes prepared by a great chef using gelato, bread and pastry creation to eat right away.
The act to do the “Scarpetta” (“little shoe”), i.e. mop up the sauce from a plate of food with a piece of bread, become a cue for “Do Shoe”, Bakery and Gelato shop (using Mec3 products). In this retail point fashion and food merge, where eating with fingers and mop the food with bread pieces become a stimulating and exclusive game.
Pan is… a new mood to taste bread. “Panis” is a bakery which proposes services useful to bicycle riders. Its supply rotates around bread slices, all declined in different sizes and types and served with the most varied condiment. And it is possible to ordinate all these delicacy without get off the bike.
“Grano d’oro” (Golden Wheat) is a bakery and it’s set inside a big welcoming living room, open from 08.00 to 24.00, ideal for business meetings, where you can taste authentic bread specialties matched with different beer kinds.
“Food Experience Design – Gelato-shop, Bakery and Pastry Shop” is the first postgraduate course in Europe for architects and designers who want to specialize in designing new retail spaces for the field of food. The purchasing action is more than a simple attainment of a consumer good, but they have to be all-involving and luscious event in the aesthetic aspect: this is the “retail entertainment”, which is gradually transforming the sales point into places able to entertain, to communicate emotions, and to spread the culture of quality of products.
This Course has foresaw research hours and theoretical lessons tough by specialized teachers from the Polytechnic in Milan and by some successful professionals. And of course the program couldn't come withoutMec3 participation: Mec3 gave its contribution to the didactic path using its experience and knowledge of the food field.

Last September 29th Mec3 has introduced itself to more than 40 enrolled architects who during next two months will working on projects for the developing of innovative concepts.
The most significant projects will be presented during next Sigep trade fair, from 23rd to 27th January 2010 in Rimini (Italy).
Food Experience Design (for gelato, pastry and bread shops) is the first post-graduate course in Europe created for architects and designers who wish for
specializing in design new food retail spaces; this course faces all themes, under a planning, techical and furnishing approach, without forget the aesthetical languages and the consumption trends evolution, today essential in order to understand a traditional market in a changing phase.
