The preparations it’s well under way for the 50th edition of MIG, International Ice Cream Exhibition, which will take place in Longarone (Belluno – Italy) from 29th November to 2nd December and will see the participation of  the main companies of  the sector.

In order to celebrate the 50th, , the exhibition will be anticipated by a big event on Saturday 28th November with the representative from the institutional world, from the exhibitor companies and from the Gelato world. It will attend Luca Zaia, Minister of Agricultural and Food Policy.

So, MGI 2009 it is a historic edition, with a rich program: from the presentation of the first Guida alle Gelaterie Italiane (Giuide to Italian Gelato Shops) realized in partnership with the Italian Touring Club to the preview of the book “100 Anni di Gelato Artigianale" (100 years of Artisan Gelato) written by Luciano Poliotti, passing through the launch of the book "Il Pefetto imprenditore del Mondo del Dolce – Marketing, comunicazione e sicurezza alimentare (The perfect entrepreneur of the Sweet World – Marketing, Communication and food safety)."

Between Monday 30th November to Tuesday 10th December it will be possible to be present at the third stage of the Fifth Championship of Gelato Makers which will see at working many professionals from Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli and Veneto.
MIG will give hospitality to the 40° edition of Coppa d’Oro (Gold Cup) Competition, this year centered, on chocolate, and Gelateria in Web (Gelato shop in Web), dedicated to berst web sites about Gelato Making.
Finally, Wednesday 2nd December the student of Italian Vocational Schools for Tourism and Catering will challenge each other during Final of 16th edition Fesival d’Autore (Master Festival).
