Installing a new system of solar panels Mec3 has contributed in reducing the emission into the atmosphere of 45.9 tons of CO2 a year.

Mec3 supports the environment and invests in clean energy installing a brand new photovoltaic system in order to produce electicity.

This zero impact energy is going to be introduced in the factory's electric network and will imply saving traditional energy.

Thanks to this innovation, Mec3 factory will be able to reduce CO2 emissions in the atmopsphere.

Installing this system Mec3 contributes to eliminate 33,058 tons of CO2 emissions each year in the atmosphere.


This is equivalent to:
  • plant 2,75 hectares of trees
  • drive car for 165.290 km

How we can get energy from the sun?


A photovoltaic cell is a specialized semiconductor diode that converts visible light into direct current (DC). Some PV cells can also convert infrared or ultraviolet radiation into DC electricity. Photovoltaic cells are an integral part of solar-electric energy systems, which are becoming increasingly important as alternative sources of utility power.
Large sets of PV cells can be connected together to form solar modules, arrays, or panels. The use of PV cells and batteries for the generation of usable electrical energy is known as photovoltaics. One of the major advantages of photovoltaics is the fact that it is non-polluting, requiring only real estate (and a reasonably sunny climate) in order to function. Another advantage is the fact that solar energy is unlimited. Once a photovoltaic system has been installed, it can provide energy at essentially no cost for years, and with minimal maintenance.
